Protein and Nucleic Acid Synthesis during the Reparative Processes following Myocardial Infarction.

چکیده
• In the past, investigations dealing with biochemical changes accompanying myocardial infarction have been primarily directed toward studies concerning the release of enzymes by the heart muscle.' 2 Studies in dogs have led to the conclusion that the first reaction in myocardial infarction is necrosis followed by infiltration with polymorphonuclear leukocytes; finally collagen formation takes place. However, detailed investigation of the biochemical nature of the reparative processes of infarction as a function of time has not yet been performed. The purpose of this report is to study the protein and nucleic acid synthesis at the subcellular level during the reparative processes following myocardial infarction. Of particular interest is the sequence of events in the reparative process. The question will be examined as to the portion of the cell in which the reparative process commences.

The neurogenic response of cardiac resident nestin(+) cells was associated with GAP43 upregulation and abrogated in a setting of type I diabetes
BACKGROUND Cardiac nestin(+) cells exhibit properties of a neural progenitor/stem cell population characterized by the de novo synthesis of neurofilament-M in response to ischemic injury and 6-hydroxydopamine administration. The induction of growth associated protein 43 (GAP43) was identified as an early event of neurogenesis. The present study tested the hypothesis that the de novo synthesis o...

An Epidemiological Survey on a patient with myocardial infarction In Dr. Heshmat Hospital During 5 years.
SUMMARY The most common cause of mortality in man is C.A.D Predisposing factors of this disease vary in different areas. Present research has taken place in Guilan Province in order to achieve an exact understanding of the effective factors for C.A.D. The study was done by a questionaire and on basis of a retrospective approach within 5 years. In this survey, out of 3645 patients with C.A.D, ...
متن کاملA Novel Genetic classification of SARS coronavirus-2 following whole nucleic acid and protein alignment of the isolated viruses
Background and aims: The end of 2019 has marked the year, which the human population encountered a novel virus; SARS-CoV-2 that causes a disease namely COVID-19. Here we focused on the genome and protein mutations and subsequently suggested a new classification of the SARS-CoV-2. Materials and Methods: Our study showed that some extra positions in the virus genome play a key role in the SARS-C...
متن کاملFibrogenesis: Mechanisms, Dynamics and Clinical Implications
Fibrosis is the pathological condition resulting in the growth of excess fibrous connective tissue in an organ or body system as a reparative or reactive process. In the field of clinical pathology, clinicians and medical scientists are endeavoring to translate experimental knowledge into effective, innovative treatments for a range of fibrotic conditions. The amelioration of whole organ functi...
